| Resumo | Some analyses performed in geoprocessing require consideration concerning the dimensionality of data and information. As example, three-dimensional (3D) data require to be worked in Modeled or Real Surface, with the necessary assessments of relief and not just using Planimetric Surface, such as observations using a topography map, etc. In this sense, this works aims to study the implications of a road network analysis, more specifically in determining the optimal routes and service areas, considering these different types of surface (Real and Planimetric) adopted as reference. Using a road network modeled for the urban area of the city of Viçosa, Minas Gerais State, were simulated hypothetical situations in order to find the optimal route (between two points) and service areas (from a specific location), taking the distances obtained from Real and Planimetric Surface as weight associated to the edges of the road network. Through the results obtained, we found significant differences in the analysis carried out according to the type of surface considered. For optimal route, was obtained a discrepancy about 10% (0.5 km) to the total length of the route using Real Surface in relation to Planimetric Surface. For service areas, it has been found that the greater abrangency, from the specified location, were for Planimetric Surface, since these distance restrictions adopted are smaller than the Real one. With this work, it was possible to demonstrate the relevance of Real Surface in analyses that requires relief considerations. |
